Almond Porridge with Banana (from 6 months)

Makes about 2 portions.
Ingredients
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 tablespoon wheatgerm
1 tablespoon almond meal
1 cup water
2 tablespoons baby's usual milk
1 banana
Method
1. Place rolled oats, wheatgerm, almond meal and water into a saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring, for 3-5 minutes or until the oats are soft.
2. Spoon the porridge into a bowl and pour in the milk. Stir.
3. Mash banana to desired consistency. Place banana over the porridge and serve.
Instead of a mashed banana, you can top porridge with homemade baby apple sauce.
Bananas are often called nature's superfood as they are an excellent source of potassium, fibre, vitamins B2, B6 and vitamin C.
