Click here to print this recipe

Makes about 3 portions.

Ingredients
1 potato - about 250g
1 carrot
150g lean lamb fillet
1/2 tsp fresh rosemary, roughly chopped

Method
1. Peel and chop potato and carrot.

2. Place vegetables in a small saucepan. Pour in enough water to just cover the vegetables and bring to boil. Simmer for 12 minutes until potato is tender.

To steam, place chopped potatoes into a bowl and place in a pot with water. Make sure the water is lower than the rim of the bowl. Place lid on pot. Bring water to the boil. Steam for 15 minutes.

3. Remove vegetables and set aside.

4. Cut lamb into small pieces and place in steamer or steam on stove as above with rosemary. Steam for 20 minutes until meat and brown and cooked right through. It's very important to make sure the meat is completely cooked.

5. Place vegetables, lamb and rosemary into blender and blend for about 10 seconds, add some water or baby milk and blend another 10 seconds if needed.

4. Allow to cool before serving.

Even though baby will not yet have teeth, this is intended to have soft lumps. It will help your baby be ready for chopped and minced food. Be guided by your baby and never leave them unattended when eating.
