Makes about 4 portions

Ingredients
150g pumpkin
1 small apple

Method
1. Peel pumpkin and apple and cut into pieces. Discard apple core.

2. Place chopped pumpkin in a small saucepan. Pour in enough water to just cover the vegetables and bring to boil. Simmer for 10 minutes.

3. Place apple into saucepan with potatoes. Simmer a further 4 minutes or until pumpkin and apple is tender.

To steam, place chopped pumpkin into a bowl and place in a pot with water. Make sure the water is lower than the rim of the bowl. Place lid on pot. Bring water to the boil. Steam for 10 minutes. Add apple and steam a further 4 minutes.

4. Drain well and reserve some water. Place apple in blender and blend to desired consistency. Use the preserve water if needed. You can add a little baby rice cereal to adjust consistency.

5. In a separate bowl, mash the pumpkin with a fork. Add pureed apple to pumpkin and stir.

6. Allow to cool before serving.
