Pear & Cashew Slice

Ingredients
3 ripe pears, peeled and diced
75g raw cashews, roughly chopped
½ cup self-raising flour
100g brown sugar
25g butter
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1 egg, lightly beaten
Method
1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
2. Place the pear, cashews, flour and brown sugar in a bowl and mix together.
Place the butter and golden syrup in a small saucepan and stir over low heat until melted.
3. Gently stir golden syrup mixture and egg into the pear mixture.
4. Pour the mixture into a lightly greased 20cm square tin and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
5. Leave to cool in the tin before slicing.
